Who We Are
We are a 501c3 non-profit community organization. We started with a passion to
bridge the mental health and support services gap for Asian, Asian American, and multicultural communities in the greater Los Angeles area
and beyond.
Our Mission
The mission of Entwine Community is to train our next generation of Asian, Asian American, and multicultural mental health students & professionals, social workers, case managers, advocates to provide culturally sensitive services to the Asian & Asian American, multicultural communities who lack access to mental health and other social service & support services.
Our mission is to create international care and communities while exploring different Intersectionality of Asian American Identities and mental health needs.
Who Our Nonprofit Serves
Clients who lack health insurance
health insurance doesn’t provide adequate mental health benefits.
These clients also cannot afford current market rates for therapy (between $80-200+ a session).
Asian American & multicultural individuals and families who do not have proper insurance coverage or financial resources to receive culturally sensitive and responsive care
Case Management
Our case managers will assess your needs and will connect you to the resources and support services you need.
Peer Support
Peer supporter will provide you 1:1 support to provide you with life skills and connect you with needed resources.
Mental Health Counseling
Mental Health Counseling & Therapy services are provided by Family & Marriage, Counseling, or Clinical Social Work Trainees and Interns who are in their Master’s program. Virtual Mental Health Counseling services will be available for teens (age 13+), adults, couples, and families of Asian / Asian American or multicultural California residents at this time starting in August 2022.
Low fee & Sliding Scale fee is generally defined by income & personal finances prioritizing clients without proper health benefits coverage.
Our pro bono & scholarship services will be based on funding & availability.
Group Offerings
Our groups are created to provide international care and communities while exploring different Intersectionality of Asian American & Multicultural Identities and mental health needs. Unless specified as a therapy group (limited to CA residents), our support groups are open to All US residents at a low fee.

Meet the Founders
Soo Jin Lee, LMFT is a licensed therapist and director of the Yellow Chair Collective (YCC) and co-founder of Entwine Community. The YCC is a psychotherapist group with a special focus on training and consulting on Asian and Asian American mental health related issues.
Her approach to mental health care, centered on understanding and addressing the unique challenges of similar communities, has led her to co-author the impactful book, “Where I Belong: Healing Trauma and Embracing Asian American Identity.”
Linda Yoon, LCSW is a therapist and founder of the Yellow Chair Collective and co-founder of the Entwine Community. She has carved a significant path in mental health advocacy and is deeply influenced by her experience as an undocumented Asian immigrant.
She is the co-author of “Where I Belong: Healing Trauma and Embracing Asian American Identity,” which delves deeply into themes of Asian American identity and resilience, alongside the racial, cultural, and intergenerational dynamics present within Asian American communities.
