About Chad:
My name is Chad and I’m a proud Californian, first-generation master’s graduate and former communications professional turned clinical social worker-psychotherapist in training. My therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles, existential psychology and eastern philosophy and is informed by my guiding values of authenticity, heart and mentorship.
As someone who has pivoted careers in their 30s, been living sober from alcohol and hard substances for 7+ years and who has also been a long-term client of therapy, I understand that life, more often than not, exists in various shades of gray. My goal, if we work together, is to help you embrace those shades of gray so that you can better navigate change, uncertainty and any challenge that life brings your way.
Throughout my career, I have worked with C-suite leaders in and outside of the LGBTQ+ movement, people living with HIV, survivors of sexual violence, entertainment industry professionals, first-generation students of color, veterans, adults seeking sobriety, and individuals transitioning out of incarceration. Beyond work, I revel in catching up with loved ones over chai lattes, watching either Bravo TV or true crime, and jogging around the city while listening to K-pop.
If any of what I’ve written has resonated with you, please reach out to schedule an appointment. I look forward to connecting and beginning our work together.
