About Kana:

After years of personal work with my therapists, I knew my next step was to become a counselor. I’ve always enjoyed learning and listening to people’s life stories. I grew up in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County. My family and I immigrated from Japan when I was a child. However, my ancestry is from Taiwan, and I was lucky to grow up with many cultures.

In my younger years, I trained as a commercial hip hop choreography dancer and was immersed in the dance community and culture. Since becoming a mom of two, I’ve traded in my late nights on the dance floor for trips to parks and easy walks in nature with my family.

My professional experience spans across many industries, and I have an innate entrepreneurial spirit. I’m uniquely positioned to work with those experiencing challenges in their careers and how that might affect their identities. Additionally, if you are suffering from depression, anxiety, addiction, codependency, relationship issues, or generally feeling stuck in life, I provide a non-judgmental space for your journey of self exploration.

I believe psychotherapy is necessary for whole and authentic living. I look forward to working with individuals, couples, and families.

Through our time together we’ll find pathways towards allowing your soul to speak.

To schedule an appointment with me, please reach out to our Care Coordinator team, and they will assist you with next steps. It takes courage and vulnerability to seek support and share your story, and I’m honored to start this journey with you!
