About Lindsey:

Hi, I’m Lindsey. You are welcome here.

If you feel like what you’re carrying right now is getting heavy– you’re not alone. And if you’re looking for a therapist who will specifically help you process your lived experiences of marginalization or alienation– I’m here for you. In this space, every aspect of your life is welcome, especially the parts that feel too complex or taboo to talk about anywhere else.

I work with adults navigating a wide range of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to stress and burnout. I believe in the power of mutual collaboration and imagination in finding new ways to heal old wounds. I believe in the therapeutic power of safe and intentional relationship. And I believe that each person holds power in shaping their own narrative. Together, we’ll wade through whatever feels messy, difficult, or stigmatized– at your pace and without judgment.

As a second-generation Chinese American, I know how it feels not to belong. Growing up in a predominantly White suburb in New Jersey, I often felt unseen by the people around me. Since then, I have come to value the power of identity, community, and being understood, which affects my therapeutic approach: curious, compassionate, and always ready to listen.

Over the past few years, I have specialized in working with children. After receiving my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Duke University, I worked as the lab coordinator in a developmental psychology lab, which researched infant and child language development across cultures. From that work, I learned the importance of childhood in shaping adult life, and bring that lens with me into therapy. I am now pursuing a Master’s of Social Work at Columbia University, where I hope to continue exploring the intersections of identity, community, and mental health.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to do it alone. If any part of this has resonated with you, I would be honored to get connected.
