About Michelle:
If you’re feeling weighed down by anxiety, burnout, or shame — or noticing patterns that keep showing up in your relationships and daily life — therapy can be a space for reflection and growth. You may be navigating trauma, depression, or cultural and relational challenges while trying to hold everything together. My hope is that in our work together, you find space to slow down, feel understood, and move toward a deeper sense of connection with yourself and with others.
My approach is curious, authentic, and collaborative. I see therapy as a relationship between equals, where I walk alongside you to gain deeper insight and alignment with your values. At times the work can be deep and challenging, and at other times lighter, with room for humor and play. Together, we’ll notice patterns that may no longer serve you, while also drawing on your strengths and resilience. I practice with cultural humility and a trauma-informed lens, taking seriously the ways that race, gender, sexuality, culture, and broader social forces shape our experiences and inner lives. I draw most often from behavioral, relational, and psychodynamic traditions, including CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches as they fit your needs.
I am currently completing my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Cal State Long Beach. Before beginning my training as a therapist, I worked in public health and PTSD treatment. These experiences gave me perspective on how individual struggles and larger systemic pressures intersect. I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing yoga, exploring and making art and food, and being with loved ones (including my dog, Mochi). These are the spaces where I stay grounded, creative, and connected — values I bring into my work as a therapist.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d be happy to connect. Please reach out to our Care Coordinator team to get started.
